I’ve tried to make this as clear and simple as possible whilst remaining thorough. It’s made it a bit ‘wordy’ but I hope everything is clear
DJ Alasdair is a trading name of TechKit limited. I, Alasdair Clark am using this site to reach out to new, existing and potential customers. TechKit limited is registered company number 06830965 and is registered at 8 West View, Middleton, Pickering, North Yorkshire, YO18 8NT
I hate companies that spam me with phone calls, emails and letters. Currently I am not making any regular contact with past customers but I am considering a quarterly email. The reality though is most people see what I’m up to via Facebook so it isn’t really necessary

What data is collected? You are able to put your details into this website to get a quote for an event. Obviously you will be aware of what date you put in but I’ll explain how it’s used. For your event, for accounting purposes and (with playlists) for future reference. Most people will leave this on as most of my work is repeat custom, but if you wish to deregister your details from the website then you are of course free to do so. If you deregister your name and contact details will be retained in my accounts and the playlists from the evening will also be retained. You can check and update your details at any time through this website
Sometimes I post onto social media – if you don’t want me to do this then let me know before the event (note that the privacy policies of Facebook, YouTube etc are obviously beyond my control)
This website uses cookies. Actually it uses cookies if you are registered and log in, it isn’t using any before you do that. The cookies used are to make the website work properly, without them it doesn’t. No external cookies are used
Tracking across the internet: I do not like the current trend of tracking people across the net. I do not do this. For my statistics I need to use a service of some kind to see which pages do (and don’t) work on this site. To do this I use Google Analytics which is done via a piece of code in the website. I do know that if you are logged into Google (YouTube, Gmail etc) that they are able to trace where you visit and continue to do so after you have logged off. I wish I had a good alternative
I aren’t using a Facebook Pixel – so they can’t track you. This would be useful as it would show me the flow from Facebook through my website… but unfortunately I think the privacy trade-off is too great on this one
I don’t share your data with other people unless you say that I can. Generally this will only be done if I aren’t available for a particular date and you want me to recommend someone. If you’re a DJ registered with me then I may pass your contact details on to a potential customer
This may be modified from time-to-time. Feel free to check back whenever you want. If anything is unclear or incorrect then please let me know! Thank you for your time taken reading this
